Die Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE ist mehr als gerüstet für die ganz große Reise: Die vielen Features ziehen an einem Strang, denn alles Gute an der SE zielt auf Komfort und Sicherheit. Sei es das semiaktive elektronische Skyhook-Fahrwerk von Showa, das KIBS Kurven-ABS, die Kawasaki Cornering Management Funktion (KMCF), das Kurvenlicht oder das gut ablesbare TFT-Farb-Display, die Elektronik lässt keine Wünsche offen. Gepaart mit der gemütlichen Sitzposition und dem hohen, verstellbaren Windschild sind lange Etappen ein Genuss. Der Motor ist bestimmt nicht der stärkste, das Gewicht bestimmt nicht das niedrigste, aber insgesamt stellt die Versys 1000 SE ein optimales Touring-Motorrad dar.
